The GSP workout routine
The GSP workout routine gives emphasis on several training areas which includes exercises to enhance strength, endurance, stability, power, flexibility, and agility. During his training, GSP first took warm up exercises for him to get ready for the whole training session. GSP’s warm up exercises includes, stretching and strengthening with the use of a stability ball.
The complete GSP workout routine includes barbell snatches, weighted chin ups, alternated ball slams, brench press, lunges supersetted w/ Split Squat Jumps, and Band Resisted Sprint Intervals.
GSP also stressed out that he usually has his workout for six days a week which consist of two sessions per day. Aside from that he also does boxing and went to a gym where he meet people whom he considered as great training partners. When GSP has an upcoming fight, his training will include a total of four disciplines which are boxing, wrestling, Muay Thai and jujitso.
Aside from the rigorous workout training that GSP undergoes. He also observes a proper diet plan especially if he has an approaching fight. He only took a little amount of carbohydrates and sodium and focus more on taking vegetables, fruits, and proteins. But after the weigh in, he reverses his diet to the opposite. This time, he will focus more on eating foods with carbs to get all the weight back.
